New Volunteer Opportunities
Totman Cove Preserve. All trash removal is done by volunteers. When you are there, please feel free to help by bringing your own bag and cleaning the beach or taking a bag or two of trash to the transfer station. Messes happen. Clean them up yourself or call Town Hall for help, 389-2653.
Hatch Point Garden at Center Pond (by the flagpole). All tending is done by volunteers. Please feel free to help water the flower garden. Bring water in containers easy for you to handle and gently water the ground around the plant stems. Be careful not to step on the plants. Yes, you may ‘dead head’ but please do not cut the flowers. The flag garden contains heirloom milkweed great for butterflies and bees. You may water it, but please be careful not to disturb the milkweed. Do not let anyone stand on, or play in, the gardens.
Beaches, trails, roadsides and parking areas. The Phippsburg School PTA participates in the CLYNK program, which uses a certain green bag to fill with returnable bottles and cans. The bags are available at Town Hall and when full, taken to Hannaford Grocery Store’s outdoor Clynk site or left at the bottle barn at the Transfer Station. Also, keep a garbage bag with you in your car in case you see and can pick up trash wherever you are. Let’s keep our Town clean!

Backpack Program Fund
To donate to help food-insecure Phippsburg children, go to https://bathareabackpack.org. You have the option to specify Phippsburg Elementary School as the recipient. Or call 207-386-1358.
Heidi’s Hope Fund
Help Phippsburg residents in times of unexpected need. Contributions may be sent to Heidi’s Hope Fund, P.O. Box 165, Phippsburg, ME 04562 or call 207-295-3533.
