****

Phippsburg CARES has established a new fund that will help individuals and families in Phippsburg who have an urgent need or unexpected expense such as food, fuel, and medicine.

Heidi’s Hope Fund

Heidi’s Hope Fund is a tax-exempt charitable organization that provides hope and timely, temporary assistance to Phippsburg residents experiencing financial hardship who need food, medicine or medical care, heating assistance and perhaps other necessary expenses.

The fund was established in April 2025 to honor the generous spirit, joy for life, compassion, service to others, and deep faith of Heidi Michelle Yeaton, the daughter of a long-time Phippsburg family. Heidi passed away very suddenly in March 2025. We hope that her lifetime of service – including her dedication to her country as Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, as a critical care nurse, and as caregiver to her patients, family, friends and neighbors – will be an inspiration to us all.

If you need support, contact a member of the Heidi’s Hope Fund Oversight Committee: Pastor Ari Keller, 207-389-2129; Pastor Holly Morrison, 207-504-0107; Sandy Totman Hart, 207-729-2356; or Lorana Pierce, 207-389-1510. You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire that the committee will consider to determine if this fund can help you or perhaps guide you elsewhere. All inquiries will be held in strict confidence.

Tax-exempt donations may be made out to Heidi’s Hope Fund and sent to:

Heidi’s Hope Fund
P.O. Box 165
Phippsburg, ME 04562

Tax EIN # 33-4296921

If sending cash, please include a note that indicates you want it to go to Heidi’s Hope Fund. If you have additional questions about the fund, please call Susie Duncan at 207-295-3533.
