Vision
Phippsburg is a united, caring community where a culture of active collaboration and volunteerism provides the resources and support to help people of all ages thrive.
Mission
Phippsburg CARES is a group of local volunteers who are working to: 1) improve communication and access to vital information, services, and resources; 2) increase volunteering; and 3) strengthen connections and belonging through intergenerational social gatherings and events.
Our name reinforces our priorities: Community, Access, Resources, Events, and Services.
Our first action has been to complete a Resource Guide, which is an inventory of all the services, programs, events, and resources currently available to the people of Phippsburg.
Phippsburg CARES also is exploring other ways to strengthen our community through communication, collaboration, and volunteer activities, including: starting a monthly newsletter; helping other organizations in their community outreach and fundraising; and adding options such as a food bank and other essentials.
Meet
The general membership typically meets once a month at either the Small Point Baptist Church or United Congregational Church. The latest schedule can be found on the Events page. Meeting minutes are here.
